2009 will be the year of art in Aix-en-Provence with an exclusive exhibition entitled "Picasso, Cezanne: the sun in front." Granet Museum presents a selection of pieces (100 in total including 70 of Picasso and 30 of Cézanne), which illustrates the major influence that Cezanne exerted on modern art and particularly on Pablo Picasso.
